Smoky notes of mineral reduction add breadth to the equally cool and airy nose of green apple, citrus and a plenitude of floral wisps. Gorgeous texture with a stony bitter lemon zest finale that possesses stunning length and terrific complexity. The word brilliant comes to mind is one of the best recent Matrot Perrières I've seen.

Meursault's 1er Cru "Les Perrières" is considered my many as the grand cru of Meursault. While Meursault does not have any grand cru vineyards to its name the wines hailing form Les Perrièes certainly give the neighboring Monrachet's a run for their money!
