Lignier Michelot Morey St Denis Rouge 1er Cru "Les Genavrières" (2023)

Varietal(s): 100% Pinot Noir

70% whole bunch with minimal punch down to avoid the wine becoming too muscular. Even so, the Genavrières has a noticeably darker purple colour with ruby rim. There is possibly an even greater volume of fruit here than my usual favourite of Faconnières, with summer pudding black fruits and a fresher redcurrant note to join in.
