Dom. la Garrigue Côtes du Rhône 'Cuvee Romaine' ‘21

This CdR displays a deep ruby robe with purple rim. The nose is classic southern Rhône - ripe blackberry, lavender, and cracked pepper notes leap from the glass. The palate is generous yet balanced, with velvety tannins framing flavors of blueberry compote, licorice, and garrigue herbs. A blend of Grenache and Syrah aged in concrete, it earned 90 points for its authenticity and value. The finish shows pleasant warmth and stony minerality. Pair with herbed pork roast or ratatouille. The vineyard's galets roulés over clay subsoil provide excellent drainage and heat retention.
