Château Musar Rouge is a unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Carignan from Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, showcasing the region’s signature terroir. The wine, fermented in concrete vats and aged in French oak for 12 months, presents a complex bouquet of red fruit, including cherries, mulberries, and plums, along with herbal and earthy notes like tobacco, cinnamon, and liquorice. It has well-integrated tannins, balanced acidity, and a long finish. The wine is medium-bodied with flavors of dark fruit, spice, coffee, and leather, and it is fresher than expected, with a pleasant bitterness on the finish. Rated 90+ points by Wine Spectator, Vinous, and others, it’s structured and full of flavor, with the potential to age beautifully over decades.
