2019 Colene Clemens Dopp Creek Pinot Noir

Established in 2005 in the high altitude hills of Ribbon Ridge in the Chehalem Mountains, Colene Clemens is a winery dedicated to preserving their land and taking care of their people. They employ organic practices whenever possible in their farming and are self described as sustainable. Their young vineyard is dry farmed and kept to low yields as to best express their site. The Dopp Creek is their Estate Pinot Noir and is a beautiful expression of their property as a whole. A vibrant, fresh and delightful pinot with wild raspberries, sliced mushrooms, lemon zest, fresh herbs, violets and peppercorns on the nose. Ripe red fruit on the nose is supported by light florally, subtle herbal character. The palate is supple and round textured with juicy black fruit and baking spice. It’s medium-bodied with ultra-fine tannins and bright acidity, so elegant and transparent. Enjoy this pinot with grilled burgers or roasted chicken and ripe creamy cheeses like camembert.
