The Special Wines of Agnès Paquet
Share
Agnès Paquet is not your average Burgundian vigneronne. Although her family has owned vineyards near Beaune since the 1950s, she is the first generation to produce wine from their fruit.
Her story is singular and unique, featuring twists and turns resulting in a much later-in-life realization of vinicultural passion. You could easily argue that the hard-fought years of learning on her own resulted in the production of truly captivating wines. The wines are honest, transparent, and spectacularly complex. While in most markets the wine from Agnès Paquet is allocated, we are fortunate to offer a wide array from her portfolio.

2023 Agnes Paquet Chassagne-Montrachet Les Battaudes
Les Battaudes, Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy, France
Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Oranges and lemons say the bells of St Clement's. Lots of fruit; fruit on fruit. Stone fruit and lashings of sweet pink grapefruit. Candied citrus-peel sweetness and bitterness, too. Flamboyantly ebullient, and there's nought wrong with that! It delivers on everything else that counts too: depth, intensity, and length.
