Marino Abate Grillo

Sicilia DOC, Italy

Organic

Notes: Pleasant crispy fruitiness that is balanced by floral and savory notes. The bouquet on this wine is like walking through a citrus orchard with citrus blossoms and peach nuances with hints of passion fruit, grapefruit and fresh green herbs.

Poderi di Toscana Rosso “Due Amici” Super Tuscan

Tuscany IGT, Italy

Super Tuscan | Great Value

Varietals: 40% Merlot, 30% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

Notes: Shows a rich bouquet ranging from forest fruit berries to underwood, with hints of cherry and plums. Soft and fresh, with a good acidity and delicate tannins. Pleasant, rich and a very balanced wine. The decision to stay away from lots of new oak here allows for a beautiful and authentic Super Tuscan wine with incredible complexity and approachability.

Serving Instructions: Open 30 minutes prior to serving. Serve between 55-65°F (15-30 minutes in the fridge)

Cheese Pairings: medium to firm cheeses such as Parmesan, Gorgonzola, Fontina, Asiago, Pecorino Romano, Caciotta

Food Pairings: cured and smoked charcuterie meats, rich pasta dishes with mushrooms or ground beef, grilled meats, pizza, lasagna, and yes risotto dishes too!

Valdespino Vermouth Aperitivo Jerezano

Jerez de la Frontera, Spain

Varietal: 100% Moscatel

Notes: Oranges, caramel, subtle floral notes and a hint of mint. The warmth and subtle woody tones blend in perfectly. There’s the rounded sweetness getting spicier with cinnamon and clove. Walnuts and hazelnuts alongside dried orange peels. Pleasantly bright citrusy notes too. Towards the end a light bitterness (burnt rosemary) and a hint of juniper come out.

Valdespino Vermouth can be enjoyed in just about every way. We love to serve it chilled all by itself. Occasionally we will also just add a little bit of sparkling mineral water and citrus for a lighter aperitif. The bottom line is to have fun with it! Below we have provided a few additional cocktails where you can use Valdespino Vermouth and take your cocktail game to the next level!
