Celebrate With Kistler Chardonnay

Since 1978, Kistler has been dedicated to highlighting the exceptional wines that California can produce, prioritizing terroir, the sense of place, as the most crucial element of their offerings. The grapes selected for Kistler’s Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs are among the finest in the world, meticulously handled and aged in French oak barrels sourced from Burgundy, France. The result is nothing short of remarkable! These wines are concentrated and rich, yet possess a delightful finesse.

Imagining the moment of uncorking a bottle of Kistler Chardonnay on a chilly winter evening, with a warm fireplace crackling in the background, is simply irresistible. Typically reserved for mailing lists and member sales, these wines can be challenging to find, but that’s where we come in! While certainly not inexpensive, the wine featured below is worth every penny and is one of the best examples of California Chardonnay we have encountered.

2023 Kistler Chardonnay Sonoma Mountain

Sonoma Mountain, Sonoma County, California, United States

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay

Fresh aromas of white peach, lemon curd, flint, and delicate oak spice. The wine is crisp and vibrant on the palate, showcasing nectarine, yellow plum, Meyer lemon, and a hint of crushed rock. Silky and elegant with a balanced, creamy mid-palate and lively acidity. The finish is long and refined with lingering citrus and subtle toasted almonds.
